**Seek and continue to obtain free funding through grants to lessen and in some cases eliminate the financial burden on taxpayers.
-D.N.R. Grant $140,000; DUI Task Force $30,000; Operation Pull Over Grant $27,000 For the past six years; Homeland Security Buffer Zone Grant $50,000; Homeland Security Mobile Command Post Grant $35,000; Automatic Inkless Fingerprint System-Indiana Department of Criminal Justice Grant $64,000; Local DUI Enforcement $22,000; Ace I65 Grant $4500.
**Do my best to build on and increase the efficiency and professionalism of the Sheriff’s Office with continued education of all department personnel.
-1 officer certified in Accident Reconstruction and 1 additional trained Crime Scene Investigator, in order to improve response time. I will also continue to build on current successes of the Sheriff’s Office such as; Child ID, maintaining and strengthening the Reserve Division**Work diligently to decrease costs while increasing services by using our own department’s instructors to facilitate State mandated annual training, as well as, other educational training.
- Emergency Vehicle Operations training for all Sheriff’s office employees that drive department vehicles; Firearms Qualifications for all armed employees; Taser training.
**Open door policy to listen and discuss concerns of White County citizens, as well as, all Sheriff’s Office employees and other law enforcement agencies.
** Continue to keep Officers involved in projects with the schools
-Bus and Bicycle safety at Frontier, Northwhite, and some Twin Lakes Schools; direct involvement with the community and schools with an emphasis on school projects particularly on anti-drugs, and teaching our youth to make right choices.
**Work diligently to continue to rid drugs in White County
